Nothing. Membership, a profile, a showcase, entries and all the other functionalities of dasauge are all completely free of charge for an unlimited time period – with no ifs and buts. It’s all free, no matter how often you wish to change, delete, renew or create new entries. There are no subscriptions, snares, hidden clauses or unpleasant surprises. We promise! ;-)
We also don’t have anything like ‘premium membership’ that only lets you see certain contacts or access various functions once you have paid a fee. At dasauge, all members are premium members and every user is free to search the site to their heart’s content.
Anyone can become a member, whether they are an employer, employee or other interested party working in the creative sector. Membership is free of charge and registration is simple.
Go to the account page and click on “Cancel my membership”. Terminating your membership will delete all your searches and entries, as well as your showcase.
Since a common reason for terminating membership is undesired appearance in search engines, we would like to take a moment to point out that you can prevent this happening without having to dispense with the other functionalities of dasauge. You can simply change your settings under privacy options.
Please understand that due to security reasons, changes and deletions are not possible by email. If you have lost your login details, you can request to have them resent to you.
The email address you provide when signing up for membership is used for the following purposes:
Your email address will neither be published, nor will it be passed on to third parties – least of all for advertising purposes. You can find more information on how we use your data in our privacy policy.
Creating a profile on dasauge is a way for you to introduce yourself to colleagues, clients, employers, employees or potential job applicants, and forms the basis for establishing a presence on dasauge. Under your permanent, personal profile address, people can access your contact details and logo, as well as your entries and your network of contacts.
Your profile contains all your basic contact information and therefore forms the basis for all subsequent entries. Once you have created a profile, you can submit entries (job entries, studio entries) or publish a showcase.
Nothing.
Members of dasauge can link straight to their profile via special buttons. Just click the link below to access your personal profile buttons.
The email addresses you supply are never published; they are only used to deliver contact forms. This has two main benefits: On one hand, it is an effective way of preventing spammers, worms and other baddies getting their hands on your email address and, on the other, we can oblige users to abide by our terms of use, which prohibit you from contacting people for advertising purposes.
We therefore strongly recommend that you do not attempt to bypass this protection. If you still believe that it is vital to publish your email address, you can do this in cryptic form (e.g. info(at)example.co.uk) in the info text – we do not accept email addresses written in full for the reasons cited above. If you do include them nonetheless, then it’s your own fault if you get spammed.
Go to your profile in the member area. Here you can make all the necessary changes. Just click ‘save’ when you’re done.
If you have lost your login details, you can request to have them resent to you using this form.

When you first create a profile, your profile address is automatically generated in the following format: dasauge.co.uk/-name, after which it cannot be changed. The reason behind this is that a permanent address is necessary to ensure a good internet presence and that links to your profile remain valid. If, however, you require a different profile address, for example in the case of legal issues or a change to your company name, please use the contact form to get in touch with us and describe your particular problem so that we are able to assist you.
To track down the problem, begin by testing your personal profile address (which you can find at the bottom of the profile links page). Testing this link will show whether the profile works when you enter the internet address directly or whether you get an error message (“The requested entry does not exist”).
If the profile address works:
In this case everything is fine with the profile, you just haven’t found it where you expected to. This can be due to the following reasons:
If the profile address doesn’t work:
Of course it is. In the member area you can exempt your profile, showcase and all other entries from search engine searches either partially or completely. The corresponding options can be found under privacy options.
Please note that search engines must first ‘notice’ that your privacy settings have been changed so a removal or deletion of existing entries will occur with a slight delay. The restrictions will naturally immediately apply to new entries that you have created after changing your privacy settings, because these are not already listed in search engine indexes.
Job entries are entries in our job market – either job offers or people seeking jobs, including permanent positions, freelance positions and internships. Studio entries are made by people working in the creative industry who are seeking or offering shared studio space. This includes shared office space, ateliers, photo studios, darkrooms and editing suites.
Job entries may only be submitted for jobs or project work in the sectors advertising, design, photography or multimedia.
The following are expressly prohibited:
Studio entries must refer to space offered in the sectors advertising, design, photography or multimedia.
Entries from real estate agents without our prior permission are expressly prohibited. Please contact us if you wish to use dasauge for commercial purposes.

Your profile contains all your basic contact information and therefore forms the basis for all subsequent entries. You therefore need a profile even if you’re not offering creative services but instead wish, for example, to post a job offer. This also means that you don’t have to go to all the trouble of entering your basic company details in each job offer you post.

This can be due to various reasons:
A showcase on dasauge is the place to present examples of your work. You can upload and present your work in as many portfolios as you wish, and devise your own copy and titles. This means interested parties can put themselves directly in the picture about what it is you do.
A portfolio is the equivalent of a folder within your showcase. Portfolios can be used to structure and categorise your showcase.
The number of portfolios you create and the criteria you use to divide your work is up to you – just make sure they are of a sensible size: six to twelve pieces of work per portfolio is a good guideline.
Nothing.
Yes. We expect you to offer creative services to third parties and we also expect this professionalism to be evident in your showcase. However, please note that you are not automatically entitled to have a showcase and we reserve the right to make a selection.
The main advantage of having a showcase on dasauge is your immediate presence on a leading design portal. It is much easier for interested parties to simply click ‘showcase’ to gain a first impression of your work. Therefore a showcase on dasauge is first and foremost about whetting the appetite for more.
A showcase is certainly not designed to replace your own website or be in competition with it. Quite the opposite: The showcase is designed as a teaser to convince interested parties that your website is worth a visit.
Supported data formats are as follows:
We automatically scale uploaded images to the correct size and currently use a maximum of 480 pixels in width and 400 pixels in height. Images are naturally scaled proportionately. The resolution (dpi) is not important here as we always use the standard display resolution of 72 dpi.
However, we do recommend remaining flexible when it comes to formats for a later stage, meaning you should upload your work using approx. 1024 pixels for the longer edge.
Yes, you can. Go to your portfolios in the member area and activate the option ‘allow embedding of this portfolio’ under the ‘settings’ tab.
In the respective portfolios (which can be accessed via the permalinks in the showcase list), you will find an HTML code, which you can simply copy into the correct place on your website. Visitors to your website can thus view your portfolios without leaving your website.
The info box is a mandatory box because images do not necessarily speak for themselves and are thus not always sufficient as a reference all on their own. Information on the project and what part you played in it are usually required in order to judge a piece of work.
Imagine, for example, a series of fashion photographs. If they are not accompanied by any further information, many questions remain open: Were you involved in the styling, the concept, the makeup, picture editing, the photo itself or did you just make the sandwiches? Some brief information will suffice to put the interested party in the picture.
Our website uses a cache to ensure rapid response times. When changes are made to profiles, entries or showcases, it may therefore take a few minutes before the altered version becomes visible. Please wait a while and then press the reload button on your browser.
We reserve the right to select the portfolios we display under ‘the latest portfolios’ – it is our start page after all. The reason why your showcase does not appear here is either that it is no longer ‘new’ (this is only the case when you first publish it) or that you have chosen an unfortunate title image and it just doesn’t quite cut it here.
Moreover, only one portfolio per member is visible under ‘the latest portfolios’. Therefore if you have created multiple portfolios in quick succession, only one will appear here and it will be the most recent one.
This occurs, for example, when you seriously infringe our general terms and conditions or terms of use. This includes making false statements in entries, misuse of the showcase function, publishing jobs that are not relevant to the creative sector or posting advertising messages in the forums. In such cases you will not be informed that your account is blocked, no discussion will ensue and your account cannot be reactivated.
Furthermore, your membership will be blocked if you falsely mark email services that you have subscribed to such as mail agents or newsletters as SPAM with certain providers (e.g. AOL), because this also jeopardises their delivery to other members. Therefore please use the delete function instead if you no longer wish to receive a mail agent or a newsletter.
You’re very welcome to. Just send us an email stating your wishes. We look forward to hearing from you.
We link to your website from your profile and we are always happy if you link to dasauge from your website. A selection of suitable logos are available on the link to us page.
We are also happy to enter into cooperations if these are of added value to the user. You are welcome to contact us with your request, however please note that the website, event or publication you suggest must have sufficient range for it to be a suitable exchange partner for dasauge.
You are welcome to integrate any RSS feed into your own website or blog (even searches that you have defined yourself). If you wish to do this, please be aware of the rules of the game.
No thank you.
